Are Target Black Friday TV Deals Worth a Peek?
Are Target Black Friday TV Deals Worth a Peek?

Published 11/16

Sometimes Target Black Friday TV sales are a bit of a mixed blessing. Typically a doorbuster or two catch our attention, but others tend to lure you in with no name brand models or prices similar to other big box stores, such as Best Buy or Walmart.
This year the Target Black Friday sale starts at 6 PM in stores on Thanksgiving day, but online they are available all day. The ad includes a decent selection of TVs ranging from $85 for a 32 inch Polaroid brand set to $397 for a 60 inch Samsung 4K smart TV (model 60KU6300). It’s pretty difficult to compare, say Walmart or Best Buy with Target due to the fact that they don’t often have the same brand or model of TV, but when they do Target comes out quite competitive and if you have the Target RED Card you may be able to deduct an extra 5% off, further driving the value proposition towards Target’s lap.

Before we proceed into specific TV models and deals, do note that Target is bringing back its “10 Days of Deals” promotion, which offers various electronics and other Black Friday “like” pricing beginning on Saturday, November 19 – More on that closer til launch.

Here’s a breakdown of the Target Black Friday coupon deals:

Super-Cheap, Off Brand TVs in the Target Black Friday Ad

32-inch Polaroid TV listed, $85. Definitely no bells or whistles here on this 60Hz 720p model. We are guessing it could be the Polaroid 32GSR3000. We’ve seen these selling for $150 ish.

43-inch Element 4K TV, $199.99. Available only in stores. No specific model number given, but Target carries the Element E4S4316H, which sells for approximately $349.

50-inch Hisense 4K 120Hz Smart UHD TV, $249.99. The ad doesn’t give a model number, but we think it might be the Hisense 50CU6000. This would make this set approximately 50% the usual price.

Feature Rich, Brand Name TVs found in the Target Black Friday Ad

40-inch Samsung 1080p smart TV, $248. A last year’s J-series model, the Samsung UN40J5200 will be on sale for the same price at Walmart and Kohl’s.

50-inch Samsung 4K 120Hz smart UHD TV, $397.99. This is the J-Series Samsung model # 50KU6300, and can be found for the same price at Sam’s Club and Walmart.

55-inch Samsung 4K 120Hz smart UHD TV with a curved screen, $697.99. This is a Samsung 55KU6500 and it’s important to note that Target is listed a FREE $70 gift card with this TV, making it effectively $627.99.

55-inch Samsung 1080p smart TV, $447.99. This is also a last years J-series model, the Samsung 55J6201.

55-inch LG 4K 120Hz smart UHD TV, $499.99. With no model listed, we are guessing it could be the LG 55UH6030, which has been seen at Kohl’s for about $500.

60-inch Samsung 4K 120Hz smart TV, $697.99. Listed as a Samsung UN60KU6300, Walmart also has this TV for the same price.
