Preface: Why We Do What We Do.

We know what it is like to spend countless hours hunting down the best deals, discounts and coupons online (and off) and we know how rewarding it is to feel that we have indeed made a dent in our shopping bill. To that end, we decided to create a venue that makes this process easier, we hope much easier. EdealsEtc.com is an ever growing resource of stores which provide coupons, discounts, and deals for you at no cost. You don't have to sign up or become a member either, unless you choose to (and that is free too).

This service is a total value added proposition: The more shoppers that utilize our service, links and coupons, the more bargaining power we have to ask our merchant partners for larger and/or additional coupons. So feel free to spread the word, use our "Tell A Friend" icon to let your friends and family know as well. In the end we know that if you are saving money you will shop happy.

How To Redeem Online Coupons.

First let's start off by defining the five key coupon types we offer:

1.) The Virtual Coupon Codes - These are codes like FREESHIP, EDEALSETC, etc and are bolded on our site. They typically require that you manually copy the whole code and paste that into either your cart or somewhere on the payment page during checkout, depending on the store (all stores are different). You should look for an empty field that should mention the words coupon or gift certificate. In addition you may have to click on an "apply" button after you have pasted the code to make sure that the discount is properly given. Also don't forget to always use the links provided to ensure that you both qualify and enable us to offer more such coupons in the future.

2.) Link Activated Coupon Codes - These are coupon codes or discounts that that only require that you use a specific link that takes you to a specific web page on the merchants site. This action then automatically ensures that the coupon code will be active during your checkout procedure - you don't have to manually enter a thing. Look for a link that is typically defined as "Activate Coupon".

3.) Link Revealed Coupon Codes - These are coupon codes that are essentially similar to #1 above, but in order to get the manual coupon code you must first click on the link provided which takes you to a specific landing page on the merchants web site that allows you to see and copy the coupon code. You then manually copy and past the coupon code just as you do in example #1 during checkout.

4.) Special Offers & Deals - These are discounts or sales that are generally hidden sales offered by the specific merchant. By clicking on the "Reveal Offer / Deal" (or similar) link we provide you will be wisked away to a special landing page which will list the items as mentioned.

5.) In Store Printable Coupons - These coupon codes are special links that take you to a web page that will allow you to print out a coupon certificate to use at a merchants brick and morter store. We don't do very many of these as we are primarily and online shopping site and as such feature online shopping offers.

Frugal Shopping Tips.

Things to consider as you begin your online shopping trip:

-- Free Shipping: Use free or discounted shipping coupons and offers to avoid paying delivery charges. Free shipping is the number one demanded bargain by online shoppers (are you listening merchants?).

-- Online Coupons: Utilize coupons for savings from as little as $5 off a single product up to 40% off an entire order.

-- Clearance Specials: Shop special internet clearance and sales centers, which can offer quick savings with up to 70% off retail pricing. Many times these are unique to the online division of your favorite store.

-- Return Policies: Shop merchants with flexible return policies that allow you to bring returns to a physical store or use prepaid return labels from home.

-- In-Store Pick-up: Take advantage of merchants that allow you to purchase online (possibly with a coupon) then pick-up your order in the store within a set period of time. You’ll get both savings and convenience.

-- Timing: Shop early to avoid the last minute rush, out of stock items, and extra shipping fees to guarantee on-time arrival. We like to allow 5 to 7 shipping days for standard shipping, but pay attention to site details on shipping guarantees as they do vary widely. You may also want to site back and relax while you shop online during Black Friday (as well as Cyber Monday) as many stores have the same, or better, bargains online without the lines.

-- Payment Options: Look for payment options that can glean you additional discounts, such as Google Checkout, PayPal, or Bill Me Later. These options typically come up during checkout, or just prior, and can usually be combined with existing site coupons as well as adding a sense of security for stores you are not familiar with.

-- Credit Card Rewards: Many merchants have their own credit cards these days, offering you special financing terms, additional coupons, or reward points to sweeten the bargain. You may wish to maximize your points on one specific card this holiday season, earning something specific, or making enough points for that next getaway trip.

Please remember that we must verify each submission, make sure it is allowed to be posted and confirm its terms and conditions and we cannot guarantee that every submission will be posted depending on the circumstances or validation.
